Willows

Willows, a farm town in Northern California rice country, where the Koreans once prospered by growing rice; the foremost Korean rice grower was Kim Chong-lim, the ‘rice king,’ who made fortune. This was where Kim Chong-lim founded his Korean Aviation School in 1919. (한인 쌀농사지, 이중에 한때 ‘쌀의왕자’ 로 알려진 부농 김종림 선생이 설립한 한인 비행양성소가 있었던 곳이 이기도 함, 1920년대).
